Without Meat Wednesday: I prepared Homemade Meatless 2-Bean Mushroom Chili – I’m a Flexitarian

I’m a flexitarian who consumes meat 25-50% of the time. Did you know a flexitarian lifestyle is a flexible alternative to being a vegetarian? Flexible + Vegetarian = Flexitarian

My Meatless Days are usually Meatless Monday, Without Meat Wednesday and Meat-free Friday.

A vegetarian is a person who consumes fruits, vegetables, grains and proteins. The protein consumed comes from non-meat items.

Yesterday on Without Meat Wednesday I prepared something new Homemade Meatless 2-Bean Mushroom Chili. I added black beans, pinto beans, fresh mushrooms, fresh garlic, fresh peppers, tomatoes, vegetable broth, water, turmeric plus other seasonings. Also find Meatless Chili recipes online and in cookbooks.

By the way, mushrooms are considered one of the best vegetarian substitutes for meat.

A vegetarian lifestyle has great health benefits. Research shows consuming a plant-based vegetarian diet can reduce your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes and some forms of cancer.
