November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
Alzheimer’s is the most common type of dementia, plus did you know there are different types and causes of dementia.
It’s 2022 and unfortunately it seems like everyone knows at least one person who has been diagnosed with dementia.
Sadly, I know more than ten people over 75 who are livin’ with dementia plus someone I knew very well died four months ago from dementia. We must find a cure for this debilitating disease!
I had the honor of attending Dementia Educator Teepa Snow’s in-person presentation on April 27, 2022 in West Bloomfield, Michigan. It was presented by Senior Helpers, Northstar Institute, The JEWISHOSPICE & Chaplaincy Network and sponsored by Temple Israel.
Teepa Snow is very knowledgeable and her informative/interactive workshops and presentations help caregivers understand dementia.
