June is Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month.
Research shows consuming a vegetarian diet can help reduce your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes and some forms of cancer. Learn about a vegetarian lifestyle.
Since June 20, 2020 was the first day of summer, enjoy eating fresh fruits and vegetables.
During the summer months, I truly enjoy eating sweet strawberries, mango and watermelon.
I also enjoy eating carrots, cauliflower, asparagus and green leafy vegetables.
Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, Turnip Greens, Cabbage, Spinach, Swiss Chard and Kale are considered green leafy vegetables.
