Today is Meatless Monday and that means consuming vegetarian foods all day.
If you are not interested in consuming vegetarian foods seven days a week, try consuming vegetarian foods at least three or four days a week.
A vegetarian lifestyle has great health benefits. Research shows consuming a plant-based vegetarian diet can reduce your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes and some forms of cancer.
A vegetarian is a person who consumes fruits, vegetables, grains and proteins. The protein consumed comes from non-meat items.
I do not consider myself a vegetarian, instead I am known as a semi-vegetarian or “flexitarian” who consumes meat 25-50% of the time. Changing my lifestyle has improved my overall health, from the hair on my head to my toes.
